Pure potential

This week we arrive at the Winter Solstice, the day when our Northern Hemisphere tilts as far away as possible from the sun. Also called Midwinter, this is the shortest day and the longest night of the year for those of us in the north.

While I love celebrating all of the inflection points of the year—equinoxes and solstices—as high holy days, to me the Winter Solstice feels like the most potent day of the year.

The longest night allows us to go boldly inward and tap into the energetic well of wisdom we all hold within. We can connect to the pure potentiality of this moment and listen to our inner guidance to help make manifest those desires that are in the highest good of all beings.

Even though our power is amplified in community and I’d love for you to join me in ceremony this week—in-person or online—you don’t necessarily need to do anything specific to tune into the energy of Solstice.

But I’d encourage you to at least take a few minutes in silence, close your eyes in darkness, slow down your breath, and simply listen.
